The
Guild Band
Oblivious to classifications such as punk, power-pop, or
metal, The Guild likes to think of themselves as just a rock n’
roll band. The members, Bob Cummins (drums), Brad Cabral (bass), Ben
Bryan (vocals and guitar), and McLean Mannix (vocals and guitar),
each maintain separate, diverse musical tastes. When these four get
together and start jamming, what you may hear could be reminiscent
of anything from the Black Crowes to the Dave Matthews Band, or anywhere
in between. The Guild prides themselves on their diversity; no one
song really typifies the band. Since the lineup was solidified back
in the end of 2001, The Guild has written about 25 original songs
and could cover any song out there. Currently playing various venues
around the Tampa Bay area, The Guild continues to steadily improve
upon what they do best, putting out original rock n’ roll.

| Well,
what can I say? I really enjoy playing the drums in The Guild. When
I’m not practicing or working at the Music Exchange in Clearwater,
I am usually working on “The Bob Show”, my public access
T.V. show about the local music scene. As far as musical tastes, lately
I’ve really enjoyed listening to The Mars Volta, Fu Manchu,
and Q.O.T.S.A.; next month it will surely be something else. Aren’t
bio’s exciting? |
